when we left off i had just received my geography assignment and had gotten 35/40 i believe. OK. so after that every thing went quietly for a while until the 9th of june when our PDH assignments were due. In our PDH assignments we had to create two menus for a made up restaurant of  our choice. mine was called  new-trition. So original right? Anyway, one menu had to be made up of healthy foods and one made up of unhealthy foods that would never be allowed in your restaurant. Things like deep fried mars bars (unhealthy) and green salad with fresh lettuce, tomato and cucumber (healthy). We handed it in ( me forgetting my sports uniform in the process) and carried on with sports (in my school skirt and shoes). rig

you said it Mater! Endless “poss” abilities! The Sydney Symphony Orchestra was a blast. Literally. There was music squeezing into every corner of the room! Luckily fat man on a diet blast’s his music SO loud that i was already used to that level of noise and didn’t bother me that much.

first off. we sat in a bus. i sat next to my boy-friend (boy whose a friend (don’t go getting ideas)) we played spotto and i now have a bruise on my arm where he punched me. We eventually got off in front of a big fancy building. it was white. it was shiny!! It…..wasn’t the one into which we were headed. We were being led along the path instead. We stopped in front of another building. i stared at my feet. This wasn’t the building either because it was no where near as nice as the other and no where near as nice as the Sydney symphony orchestra should have as a headquarters or whatever you wanna call it. So i kept on shuffling forward…..looking at the next big fancy building…..and accidentally ran into a teacher who told me to stop looking at the ground and to keep my head up so they could count us. Then the teacher came back, confirmed that no one was missing and went into the building without a second glance Naturally, we followed. It was magnificent!

There was a room as big as the Town hall (maybe a bit smaller:D) inside this building i rated a “not-worthy-of-a-second-look” and it was spotless. There were rows and rows and rows of chairs. and not hard-backed ones either….soft and comfortable like. i sank intoa chair, my legs glad of the rest, and took a good look at what was underneath me. It took my breath away.

There were Tons of instruments and people sitting below me. I was right up the back :( There were around 9-12 violins, 4-5 violas and the same amount of cellos. 3 double bases, a multitude of strange looking percussion instruments, a tuba, 3 trombones, 5 trumpets, 3 bassoons, a bass bassoon (i can’t remember everything!), 3-4 clarinets, 3 flutes, a piccolo, and two oboe’s. It was incredible and they were all tuning! It was horrible!

then the magic began. They began with a piece from tchaikovsky’s nutcracker. It was wonderful if not a little noisy and then they did all sorts of other things Including something by some Australian composer whose name i cant remember and another piece by tchaikovsky (not the nutcracker) and it all was wonderful.

Then the conductor turned to us and said that since we’d been at the back the whole time the last three rows (which included me) could come down and filter in between the players while they played the last piece. I ended up next to the oboe players. There were two oboe’s as said before and There was one girl and one boy. there was a spare seat next to the girl. Before they started the can-can The girl leaned over and asked if i wanted to sit down. i must have looked as uncomfortable as i felt but a gladly sat down and when i looked up at everyone i realised how scary it must be for them because i was nervous just sitting there and they all had to play!

we then went home with another bout of spotto’s and punch buggies and all manner of playful violence and then arrived at school for last period. my arms are sore and i have never been so embarrassed at being on stage when i’m not supposed to be. but it was GREAT!!

i was thinking that i might post some blogs in school when they are happening so’s i dont forget them. Paterfamilias (fat man on a diet) thinks that it’s a good idea so i’m going to try it. see how it works out byesies and talk 2 u in skool……Possom

Phew. one assignment is gone! The other day i happened across a certain geography teacher who gladly took in my assignment. What i had to do was take an A3 piece of paper and draw a map of the route to my local shops. As my bestie, ozkenzaaa, would know there is a nearby franklins which i gladly drew a map of. we had three weeks to do this assignment. I did it in the last weekend! :D

So i handed in my geography and i went about my highschooler duties, mainly moving about classrooms and doing work inside them, when i happen across my history teacher who tells me that she has a surprise for us in our period 4 history class. being my curious self i waited impatiently through my period 3 literacy class until my history class in period 4. i knew that there was something special coming up and it was obvious that others did too as they were hopping up and down as much as i was (a lot). then the time came and i was at the end of my rope! and then i slid all the way back down again.

It was an assessment task. In this one we have to make a model of something they used in Greece or Rome (I’m doing a roman shield or a scutum) and write a report about it and to top it off you have to present it to the class. I’m not a public speaker. I couldn’t do it if i was standing in front of an invisible audience! Then Lunch was called. In our school we don’t have a bell the teachers just wander around calling either “Lunch”, “recess” or “class time” I went to the library. After eating my wrap of course :) no food in the library children!! :@!! I sat at a computer and the teacher walked past. “this Block of computers is for homework children only. did you know that?” i took out my assignment and explained that since i had another assignment to do at home (art, next time….) i thought that it would be easier to manage my assignments if i started my History at school. She smiled at me and told me that she wished other children were as clever as me!

I’ts weird how many moods teachers can show huh?
